True XC9 Pro hockey gloves Review

Good comfortable gloves.

Got these a few months ago. Some of the best gloves I’ve owned. They have great grip on my hockey stick.

Poor craftsman ship & bad idea

The idea behind the z-palm is great... but the craftsmanship is awful. You can see in the photo how the pinkie is facing outwards... the index fingers and pinkie point in the wrong directions and are super awkward on your hands. You can feel the zipper in the gussets, so your fingers are touching plastic all the time. Only good thing about this glove is the velcro removable liner.

Best gloves ever

these are the best gloves i ever had. they work with any kind of stick and they are very light. they look slick and are very very comfortable. i would really recommend these gloves. they are a bit expensive but they are worth the price. if you buy these then i would recommend buying a true stick too.

Silky Mitts

I picked these up on a daily deal so the price was pretty ridiculous. I've been wearing them all season of adult league (1-2x games/week) and coaching my 10u (2x/week) and I am really pleased. they have great mobility and you can really feel the stick. I haven't had any issues with the z-palm coming unzipped either so maybe I got lucky or True figured it out. The ability to simply replace the palm instead of buying a whole new gloves makes these a seriously good deal.

Worst gloves ever created

The zipper kept coming undone from the first use, second use, and third use, until it finally just decided to break completely. Wouldn’t pay $1 for a brand new pair of these.

Good gloves poor durability.

I got these gloves this summer before my junior year of high school and loved them. They are a great fit and are the most comfortable gloves I've ever had. However they did not last long. I played fall hockey and then in the first game of high school season the zipper broke and the teeth separated. I fixed it but then with a couple minutes left in a close game they broke again… read more and there was no time to fix them. This gloves are great if you can buy multiple pairs but if you just want one pair of gloves don't get these.

Zipper broke in less than one season of use, out of warranty - DO NOT BUY

These gloves were a holiday gift for my son, who, at the time, was midseason in his PW year. He loved these gloves, and treated them well. At the beginning of this season, his 1 year Bantam, one of the gloves began to come apart during practice. At first, I thought it was just the zipper coming undone, but it was actually the zipper teeth separating and the zipper detaching… read more from the base of the glove. This is a non-reparable issue with the glove. The reason for buying them was to get extended life in a great glove by being able to detach and replace the palm. However, when the zipper is faulty and breaks on the body side, there's no way to fix the issue with a new palm. True has a warranty, but it's too short. I expect hockey gloves to last for far more than one season, which I don't think is an unreasonable expectation. These are not those gloves, and I would not buy them again or recommend them to anybody. It was an expensive 5 months worth of use.
